18. Cloud-Cloud File Transfer

Cloud-to-cloud transfer refers to the direct movement of data between two cloud storage buckets, without routing it through a local system or intermediary. Traverse to Endpoint and select the Protocol as GCS or AWS_S3 for cloud to cloud transfers. Endpoint Name: Provide the Endpoint Name. Endpoint ID: Provide a valid Endpoint ID to identify the Endpoint. Email: Provide the email ID of the Endpoint contact for reference. Phone: Provide the phone number of the Endpoint Contact. Protocol: Choose from GCS, AWS_S3. Status: Provide the status of the endpoint, whether it is Active or Inactive. Storage Type: Choose from GCS, S3, AZURE, IBM-OBJECT-STORAGE. Service Account Name: Choose from the account which was set up earlier. Refer to 9. Cloud Configurations for more information. Field 1, Field 2: You can provide additional custom metadata which you would like to store. Source Cloud Directory: Provide the source cloud directory name Destination cloud storage: Select the destination storage Destination Cloud Service Account: Select the service account Destination cloud Directory: Provide the destination cloud directory name Pooling Interval: select the pooling interval

18.1 Scenario: GCS-AWS_S3 Transfer:

Create a transfer for GCS to AWS-S3 as shown below. Select the Protocol as GCS, which will be the Source and in the Protocol section select the destination storage as AWS_S3. Provide the Source and Destination Cloud Directories. In case, if you want to do direct bucket instead of a folder/directory, you can provide it as / The files can be dropped into the Source Bucket and based on the polling configured, it would be moved to the destination bucket. The transfer can also be monitored and viewed through the Data Gateway Search Module. In a similar way, the transfer can be performed across diverse cloud buckets such as from S3 to GCS and also among different buckets within the same cloud as in GCS to GCS.
